The Body Team

The body team is in charge of the exterior shell of the car and basically all components of the car that are not metal or electrical. Our body team is further subdivided into two teams, the Ergo team and the Aeroshell team which take care of each distinct aspect of the body team with the aeroshell team focusing on all things that have to do with the aerodynamics and shell of our car while the ergonomics team is in charge of everything driver centric such as our driver shields, brakes, driver comfort, and driver safety.

The Dynamics Team

Next is our dynamics team. They are in charge of basically all things metal on the car. The team is subdivided into 4 subsystems each in charge of a different part of the car: Frame, Suspension, Unsprung Mass, Steering. Frame focuses entirely on just the frame of the car. From design, simulations to manufacturing, they are in charge of the whole process. Suspension is in charge of the sprung parts of our car such as the wishbones and suspension of our car. The unsprung mass team takes care of the parts of the car that do not count as being sprung like the uprights, hubs, and axle of our car. Finally is the steering team which like its namesake, takes care of all of the steering components of our car like the quick release, clevises. push rods and rack of the car.

ElectroMechanical

Finally we have our ElectroMechanial team of the car. They are in charge of the interface and interaction of the mechanical and electrical parts of our car. This team is split into three subteams: Enclosures, Cooling, and Wire-Harnessing. The enclosures team is in charge of all of the enclosures in our car, so packaging all of our electronics into safe, electrically isolated enclosures along with the mounting both to the car and to all of the PCBs. The cooling team is in charge of cooling those enclosures to ensure that all of the electronics are able to preform at their peak efficiency, and finally is our wire-harnessing team. They are in charge of connecting all of these separate boxes together and ensuring that the signals are all being shielded correctly for each wire and system.
