Group 25 Electronics and Software

The design was originally planned to fit two motors running in sync, with one powering each side of the sculpture. When assembling the build, we found that one input shaft was enough to turn both sides, and opted for a wooden hand crank after permission from the professor. Had we used a motor instead of a crank, the self-containing box would have encased the electronics such as the motor, wiring, power supply, etc. on the inside of the box rather than the complex gear train we implemented to translate the hand crank motion to two different locations.
