For Catalog Changes After Publication

Any changes submitted after publication should be few and only as necessary. Excessive changes to degree programs are only admissible during the open catalog cycle.

Audits will be updated after review and approval by the Dean’s Office.

 

Completed document should be routed through DocuSign to Anneke for review and approval with Student Records in copy.

*Deadlines

 

  • March 15, 2027: Deadline to submit degree/major proposals (including New Degree Program Form and budget) for Provost’s administrative and budget review to tiffany.willis@austin.utexas.edu

  • April 1, 2027: Deadline for CSUs to complete Curriculum Planning Form (link to form coming soon).

  • May 31, 2027: Deadline to submit degree/major Curriculum Change Proposals (CCP forms) for UCRC, C-3, and Faculty Council review. Internal CSU approvals and Provost’s administrative/budget approval must be complete before CCP submission.

  • August 11, 2027: Reminder - Deadline for submitting any Course Inventory requests to the Registrar’s Office for Fall 2028. This is earlier than the final CCP deadline. Please plan accordingly to ensure that any requests for new course numbers or changes to existing course numbers needed for your curriculum proposals are submitted on time.

  • September 19, 2027: Final deadline to submit all Curriculum Change Proposals.

Voting Procedures

  • Voting members consist of department and program representatives.

  • A quorum of 60% of the voting members must be present for a vote to be valid.

  • A majority of the voting members must vote yes for a proposal to pass.

  • The majority is rounded up in years when there is an odd number of voting members.

  • Proxies are permitted if voting members cannot be present and have already reviewed the proposals.
