IV.  2018-20 Catalog legislation process and timeline:

  • Fall 2016 and early Spring 2017:  departmental curriculum committees draft proposals and present them to departmental faculty for approval/revision
  • Spring 2017:  Course and Curriculum committee members schedule time at C&C meeting to present proposals for approval/revision
  • Summer 2017:  Associate Dean sends email to general CNS faculty pointing to curriculum website to review and comment on proposed legislation
  • September 2017:  Last-minute revisions due to general CNS faculty comments. Subsequent review by departmental and Course and Curriculum committee. All approved legislation forwarded from Course and Curriculum to Office of General Faculty by September 29, 2017.

Fall Course Inventory Access Period

September 1, 2016 through November 11, 2016

• During the Fall Access Period, changes to the following

course attributes may be submitted:

Creating a new course

Adding, dropping, or reinstating a course

Changing the value in semester hours

Changing the number or type of contact hours

Changing the course title

Please note that changes approved during this period will be reflected in the
Fall 2017 Course Schedule
