Google Analytics (Page Views)

Occasionally users will ask us how to view the statistics for page views etc... for a particular portion of their website.  We currently use google analytics to determine these values.  Some of our editors have been granted access to the google analytics for their websites of interest.  If you do not have access to these analytics and would like them, you may submit a help request to obtain access with your google account credentials.  Note: This requires a google account (gmail)

  1. Sign into Analytics (https://analytics.google.com)
  2. Find the folder "cns.utexas.edu" and click the title if you do not have the view shown below.  When you have view shown below, then click "cns.utexas.edu" (highlighted in screen shot) – or whatever website you are accessing analytics on .
  3. On left hand navigation pane, click "Behavior"
  4. Then Under Behavior click "Overview"
  5. Under the "Page" widget that will appear in the right hand part of the main screen, click on "View Full Report"
  6. Click "Advanced" next to the search box to look up a specific page
  7. Begin to type the path to the page you are interested in.  For example if we we interested in cns.utexas.edu/career-services, we would type "career-services" in the search box.
  8. Choose the selection matching your page of interest from the drop-down that appears and then click "apply"
