JAMF - How to Install Microsoft Defender - COMM

First make sure the computer is not in any exception groups
COMM - Exceptions - Microsoft Defender or COMM – Remove Defender |

Add the computer or computer group into this policy COMM-Microsoft Defender-Deploy Installer |  |
This policy will also work COMM - Microsoft Defender - Full Install |  |
Then click on Scope |  |
Then Edit |  |
Then Add |  |
Type in the comm-Axxxx in filter and then hit add to add the computer |  |
Click Save |  |
To see if the policy is added Go to Logs |  |
Type in the computer name in the filter results box EX 21640 If you “Flush” then the process will start again – Need to do this if your policy is set to one time per computer to re-install – once you flush it’ll start it again and in about 30 minutes should be on the computer |  |
Here we see that the status is pending for the install will take about 10 to 15 minutes |  |
