Defrosting -20C freezer in 1.106.

Freezer  (-20C) in 1.106 is connected to the UT central alarm system.

Freezer equipped with external temperature sensor, which has set up temperature range, when alarm is become activated.

External alarm is located to the right of the freezer and has separate plug in.

  1. Move all stuff from the freezer to back up freezer in 1.124.
  2. Unplug BOTH freezer and external alarm.

If you unplug external alarm while freezer is cold, it will NOT be beeping and will NOT send signal to UT central alarm system.

If you do not unplug external alarm, it will start beeping. Please DO NOT silence alarm by pushing the “Silence” button, because it will disconnect freezer from UT system, and we will need to call technician to reestablish it, just unplug it. Also, if it started beeping, that means, that alarm already sent the signal to UT system, and they will start calling to notify us about “warm freezer”.

  1. Defrost and clean freezer. The process may be speeded up, by blowing a fan directly onto the freezer. Fan (Blizzard ventilateur) is located in Olga’s office.
  2. Leave freezer to dry overnight.
  3. Next day. First - plug in freezer only. Let it cool to -20C.
  4. Move all the stuff back to the freezer.
  5. Plug in external alarm.

Thank you!
