Purelab Flex 2 Water Filtration System
There are two modes of dispensing in the Flex 2:
- Continuous: press the button to dispense, stop pressing the top button to stop
- Measured: press the Erlenmeyer symbol, and select the volume to dispense by pressing the ⋀ or ⋁ Press the top button to begin dispensing. The system will shut off automatically once the selected volume is dispensed.
- The volumes go from 100 to 2,000 mL in 100 mL steps
- Then up to 5 L in 500 mL steps
- Then they increment in 5L steps
You can leave the dispensing arm in the support or take it off to reach the sink. If you take it off the support, YOU must support it. Do NOT let the arm hang loose as this will lead to leaks.
Operating the Flex 2:
- Open the water valve (yellow handle behind the Flex 2).
- Touch any button on the Flex 2 to wake up the system.
- Make sure the gauge of the pressure regulator is ≤ 1.5 bar (black scale). [FAILING TO DO SO MAY GIVE A BATH TO YOU AND THE INSTRUMENTS AROUND YOU.]
- Select the continuous mode (no Erlenmeyer), and dispense a small amount in the sink until the resistivity reaches 18.2.
- Dispense the amount of water you require.
- Once you are done, make sure the dispensing arm is in the support, and CLOSE THE WATER VALVE.
- You do NOT need to turn off the Flex 2.
