Building Report

General Information
Building reports give a snapshot report of all the classes scheduled in a specific building throughout a semester. These can be used during production phase, and can also be provided to someone interested in knowing at what time courses take place in a building during the semester. Building reports are initiated using the mainframe, and they will discharge to the Scheduling Server.
How to Run a Building Report
- Log into the Mainframe
- Choose 'ST'
- In the enter input field, type 'txtask' and press <enter>

- Fill in the following information, then press <enter>
- In the "Command" field, enter 'SSJ'
- In the "Name" field, enter 'RGJGSCH5'
- In the "Version" field, enter 'P'
- In the "Dept" field, enter 'RG'

- Press <enter> to scroll to the second screen. You are looking for the job option: RGNWBLDG. To select it, place an 'y' next to the name.
- Do not change the run class. Leave it as "A" and press <enter>

- Overwrite the following fields and press <enter>:
- CCYYS with CCYYS in question
- Building abbreviation
- To run the job for all GPCs enter ‘*’ into the building field
- Press <enter> to confirm that you want to submit this job
- The job name and job number will pop up- this confirms that you have submitted your job. Press <enter> one more time to continue.
- If you were just running a report for a single building, you are done!
- If you are running reports for every building that contains GPCs, clear once to leave that screen.
- TIP- type "SSM" into the command field to clear back to original screen
- You will then need to re-enter "SSJ" into the command field, but can leave the other fields untouched.
- If you are running reports for every building that contains GPCs, clear once to leave that screen.

- Repeat steps 1-11 for any remaining additional buildings for which you need reports
- Building reports will pop out on the Scheduling drive in Excel format
