  • Basically nobody has filled out the Daybreak Gantt chart. It was due a week ago

    • How do you expect to be able to stay on track to get this car finished by

    • As far as I can tell there has been literally zero progress mechanically speaking

    • Some of the plan for daybreak alterations are reaching beyond the scope of what we originally agreed upon

  • I want to have a karaoke party on to celebrate the completion of SRR. Thoughts?

  • Are we taking the car to F1????

Upcoming Deadlines

Philip

  • Mechanical SRR -

  • Wheels down - (THAT IS IN A BIT OVER TWO MONTHS)

Dynamics

Can i please get next gen estimated weight and CG (from ground or axle or belly pan doesnt matter just let me know) of frame, aeroshell, battery? If any other system has this information on their components pls forward to me as well (idk maybe like the rest of the electronics/enclosures or smth). And if there is an estimate of CG from front or rear axle or relative to the entire car body from any of these systems it would be appreciated for this info as well. I have estimated values for all of these using things I have asked systems combined w their DB values but it would be bit more accurate from the systems to give to me. If possible can I get that tonight or like by tomorrow, even a rough guess is helpful - I can find our max lateral acceleration before tipping if I can get this information - then change track width or wheelbase to stabilize (some of the approximations of longitudinal CGs of all the mech systems are in a separate confluence article if anyone wants to see what I got) - also working on a reference sketch that will be more helpful once ^ inputs can guide the control arm lengths, sorry for the amt of time its taking

Body

  • Good progress on brake calculations for daybreak pedalbox and revised pedal ratio for car

  • Test brake pedal design with manufacturing process in progress (for daybreak and next gen)

  • Driver bounding box design pretty much completed

Aeroshell

Electromechanical

  • Pack size/footprint finalized, might have to add a mounting extensions to modules

  • Panel thicknesses + ply counts finalized

  • Battery box skeleton model complete with new pack size

  • v1 of enclosure quick release mount made to fit with universal enclosure

  • All cooling fans selected and constraints (almost), bb intake/exhaust project set up for new members, power loss (through heat) for motor controller determined

Week and Workday Plan

Controls

  • Lighting board requirements done by EOWD -

  • Pedals board being started - first draft to be completed

  • Going over regs with non comp members

  • Lucy - Lighting board requirements done by EOWD -

  • Zoe - Pedals board being started - first draft to be completed

  • Maddie & Krish - on track to completing leaderboard rework, may need to combine lighting and leader to avoid issues on ground

  • Aiden - working on research project from four choices -

BPS

everyone go bully Lakshay if peripheralSOM isn’t done by the end of the week

Going to start off the day with answering quick questions about starter project

I don’t want to work on starter project during workday so we’re going to start doing actual proejcts.

Aneri - BSP_SPI test (working test + end of workday +

Connor - Address reviews from BPS-HIL PCB

Kadhir - Gonna get his CAN test to work on a Nucleo (doing it on actual CAN chip is blocked till we order new components)

Kartik - May move him to new project with Connor on Power Gen

Nathan - ADC chip done (last week, I promise)

Power Systems

Frank & Carolyn: Get sch for Power Board done by end of week (hard deadline I hope. Comp arch coming up so 😭 )
Devin & Dylan: ESP32 Research and test board development.
Changxu & Watts: Get sch for BBPDU done by end of workday (preferably) or weekend.
Kaden & Bosa: Power Monitoring board.

Power Gen

all new members go through 2024 New Member Onboarding Guide

aarav - reading abt blackbody A & looking at existing schematics to determine each part of design
