All votes and recommendations are recorded on the Recommendation for Change in Academic Rank/Status form (Section G.1) that is provided by the Provost’s Office.
- Voting eligibility is defined in Section A.3.
- Voting choices are limited to “yes” or “no” for promotion and tenure decisions.
- Eligible voters cannot “abstain.”
Review committee members must not vote until after the evidence is compiled and reviewed.
Repeated voting to achieve unanimity within the BC/EC or CAC is not allowed.
The number of absent eligible voters and the total number of ineligible members serving on each review committee must also be recorded on the Change of Rank form.
