Many users are familiar with our use of a diminishing returns grading system. In an effort to provide instructors a way to encourage students to not give up on a question, we've developed what's being called "One Free Try" grading. This method is available at the assignment level, so instead of being on the Grading Scheme page, it is as well as on the individual assignment creation page. It can also be selected changed on the assignment settings page after the assignment has already been created.
