  1. Map a drive to your computer using the following path in the "folder" field  \\austin.utexas.edu\disk\che-share\JMP . The Drive letter doesn't matter.  If you are unsure how to do this,
    Read “how to map a drive Windows 7” here or “how to map a drive Windows 10” here. (Mac users scroll down to the bottom of this page.) Make sure to uncheck "reconnect at login" and to check "connect as a different user".  
  2. For the username, enter austin\your EID e.g.,
  3. Note: Attempting this from on-campus will work best.  If you are off-campus you must first follow these instructions to make a VPN connection, and then proceed with the instructions.  http://www.utexas.edu/its/vpn/ VPN INSTRUCTIONS
  4. Once you successfully connect, you will see the following:
  5. Open the Windows folder, open the version you would like, right click setup.exe (with the installer icon) right click > install as administrator.  Follow all installation prompts.
  6. After JMP has installed and you start it, you will likely be prompted for a license.  Copy the text file from the LICENSE FILE folder from inside of the folder you ran the setup.exe file from, to your computer (desktop, etc.) and point the installer to the saved file.  
  7. You may ignore the "customize your license" message.
