  1. Map a drive to your computer using the following path in the "folder" field  \\austin.utexas.edu\disk\che-share\JMP . The Drive letter doesn't matter.  If you are unsure how to do this,
    Read “how to map a drive Windows 7” here or “how to map a drive Windows 8” here. (Mac users click here. scroll down to the bottom of this page.) Make sure to uncheck "reconnect at login" and to check "connect as a different user".  
  2. For the username, enter austin\your EID e.g.,
  3. Note: Attempting this from on-campus will work best.  If you are off-campus you must first follow these instructions to make a VPN connection, and then proceed with the instructions. http://www.utexas.edu/its/vpn/
  4. Once you successfully connect, you will see the following:
  5. Right click setup.exe (with the installer icon, second in the above example).  Follow all installation prompts.
  6. After JMP has installed and you start it, you will likely be prompted for a license.  Copy the JMP10_Win_X64 to your computer (desktop, etc.) and point the installer to the saved file.
  7. You may ignore the "customize your license" message

Mac instructions:

  1. From the top Finder menu on your mac, select Go>Connect to Server.  Enter the path below:

      2.  When prompted for username enter austin\eid  e.g.,

        3.  Once connected, copy the two files to your desktop.  Run the .dmg installer file and follow the installation prompts.

        4.  After the software is installed, the first time it is started you will see the following message.  Click "open license" and point it to the jmp***.txt file you saved in step 3 above.
