2)     You are responsible for knowing the amount of your work study award and tracking your earnings so as not to exceed your award limit before the end of the semester. If at any point you are concerned you may exceed the amount of your award, let your supervisor know immediately.

3)     The schedule is set at the beginning of the semester and you are expected to work your shifts weekly. We understand that conflicts can sometimes come up but should be avoided whenever possible. You are responsible for finding coverage for your own shifts in times of absence, but you must never go over 12 15 hours of work per week (policyMonday – Sunday).  If If you know you need a shift covered due to illness or conflict, please do the following:

  1. Send a an email and/or GroupMe message well in advance to all of your colleagues
  2. Once you receive a reply, confirm with the individual if you are going to swap shifts or if they will cover for you. If possible, swap shifts to keep hours balanced among team members.Once someone has replied, send an @ message to Claire to summarize the switch. .
  3. You must email your supervisor asking for approval for any planned shift changes by the Friday the week prior.
  4. Be sure to let the entire group know that the shift has been covered.
  5. If no one can cover your shift , or if it is a true emergency, it is your responsibility to contact email or call your supervisor (by either GroupMe message, text, or call on her office number 512-475-8712)at work between 8am - 5pm) with as much notice as possible. If you don’t cannot reach heryour supervisor, be sure to leave a message to explain the nature of the emergency shift coverage issue.Please add any notes/comments about your current time sheet in the notes section when you submit your time sheet at the end of every week.Please see the Time Sheet Deadlines page
