Plotting is available only to students, staff and faculty affiliated with the School of Architecture. This equipment does not require the Digital Fabrication subscription.


Pricing & Payment

A What-I-Plotted statement is sent on a weekly basis directly to your email for you to review the itemized charges. Those charges are sent to your What-I-Owe account each month. More information for What-I-Owe can be found on Understanding WIO Charges.

Pricing may be found on Plotting Costs & Estimates as well as being posted in the Technology Lab.

Charge Issue Disputes

Any charge disputes on your What-I-Plotted statement that the submitter has should be immediately addressed

Quality Issue Disputes

If your plot has quality issues this is likely a result of your file or the plotting equipment. Technology Lab staff can assist you in identifying where the issue originated from and will work with you to resolve it or document the incident.

File Issues

The submitter is responsible for the cost of the plot if the issue falls within the column list of file potential issues below. If the plot file is resubmittedchanged and submitted, the submitter is responsible for all coststhe cost of the initial plot and the corrected plot.

Quality problems may be indicative of a issue with the file issue. Those issues may present themselves in multiple ways.:

  • Layers that are not flattened
  • Fonts that are not embedded
  • Incorrect color profile
  • Jams & tears due to plot length over 72" or full-saturation on thin paper

Equipment Issues

The submitter is responsible for notifying Technology Lab staff of equipment issues as soon as they are noticed. Any plots submitted after the initial report until the issue is resolved will be subject to administrative review to determine a final discounted cost across all affected submitters.

Please report any quality issues to Technology Lab staff ASAP. Examples:

  • Streaks or
  • Smudges on your plot
