All student film productions must upload complete a signed Production Approval Form and have it approved at least two business days prior to equipment checkout.  
***Productions without signed and uploaded approval forms will not be cleared to pick up equipment***  

Step 1. Fill out a Production Approval FormStep 2. Email a copy to equipment checkout(moody-checkout@austin.utexas.edu) so they can Visit the Moody Equipment Reservation procedures page to create your project. You may reserve equipment.

Step 3. Send your shooting script and completed 2. Fill out the online Production Approval Form. Be sure to your faculty advisor/instructor to schedule upload your shooting script when prompted.

Step 3. An email will be sent to your Instructor with details of your production. 

Step 4. Schedule a Pre-Production Meeting with your Instructor

Step 4. Take a printed copy of the completed Production Approval Form to 5. At your Pre-Production Meeting and be prepared to discuss your production plan. 

Step 5. Both you and your instructor should sign the Production Approval Format the end of your Pre-Production Meeting. If your instructor answers NO to question 20, skip to Step 7. If your instructor answers YES, continue to Step 6. 

Step 6. Send nyour script and production plan to  Keefe Boerner to schedule a Safety Meeting. You will his signature on page 2 of the Production Approval Form. 

Step 7. Scan the signed form and save it with the filename: yyyymmdd_PAF_LastnameFirstname (Note: yyyymmdd = equipment pick-up date).

Step 8. Upload the completed and signed Production Approval Form to the appropriate folder hyperlinked below:

***6. After the meeting, your Instructor will either Approve, Reject, or Approve with a Safety Meeting your production. If your Instructor approves your production plan, then you are free to check out equipment. If your plan is rejected, then you must come up with an adequate plan and schedule another meeting with your Instructor. 

Step 7. If your Instructor approves with a safety meeting, then you must send your script and production plan to the RTF Safety Supervisor via rtf-safety@austin.utexas.edu to schedule a Safety Meeting. 

Step 8. At your Safety Meeting, be prepared to discuss how you will address all safety concerns within your script. The RTF Safety Supervisor will help address any issues and ensure that you have an adequate plan for filming.

Step 9. After the meeting, the RTF Safety Supervisor will approve or reject your safety plan. If approved, then you are free to check out equipment. If rejected, you must come up with an adequate safety plan and re-schedule a Safety Meeting with the RTF Safety Supervisor.
