Colleges/schools are encouraged to develop their own template. In the absence of a required college/school template, candidates may choose their own formatting or use the University’s generic template.In the absence of a list from the department/college/school regarding high-profile publications, the journal impact factor and the rank by journal citation indicator (https://jcr.clarivate.com/jcr/home) should be used to summarize the relative prestige of a journal.College of Natural Sciences, candidates contextualize these outlets through two reports:

1) Ranking of Journals

Faculty candidates are expected to use one of the following sources:

      • Web of Science
      • A database well-recognized in the specific scientific discipline

Include a list journalsin which the candidate has published and for each journal list impact factors

How to Pull Report from Web of Science:

      • On Web of Science homepage, click on “Products” in the top right corner and then select “Journal Citation Report”
      • Select the icon for “Browse Journals”
      • Click on the black box that says “Filter,” then click “Journals” and type in the name of the journal that has published your article. Click on the journal’s name when it appears. This will add the journal name as a green icon below the search bar.
      • Continue adding all the journals that have published your works. When you are finished, click the green “Apply” button to generate the report.
      • Click on “Export” at top right and export the report as a CSV file.
      • Save final report as a PDF.

2) Citation Analysis

Faculty candidates are expected to use at least one of the following sources for this report:

      • Google Scholar
      • Web of Science
      • A database well-recognized in the specific scientific discipline
