Candidates should familiarize themselves with these Guidelines and any other related written guidelines provided by the department and/or college/school , and consult with the department chair and/or dean about the relative responsibilities for compiling the required information. Candidates have the discretion to include any additional materials that they believe are relevant to the promotion or tenure decision in the Other Supplemental Materials subsection dossier [Section G.1312(pr)].

Candidates are required to use the naming conventions established by the Faculty Affairs team in the Provost’s Office for all files and folders included in the dossier that can be found in the Summary of Dossier Preparation document that can be found on the provost’s . This document will be posted on the 2024-25 Promotion and Tenure website.

Candidates with joint appointments should prepare a single dossier for review by the units in which they are jointly appointed (Section D.4). All materials required by the primary academic unit should be included in of at least 30% should prepare Sections G.1 through G.13 12 of the dossier. Any additional materials required by the secondary academic unit(s) should be included in Subsection G.13(o) of the dossiertheir dossier in accordance with these guidelines and any additional requirements from their primary academic unit.
