Candidates should familiarize themselves with these Guidelines and any other related written guidelines provided by the department and/or college/school, and consult with the department chair and/or dean about the relative responsibilities for compiling the required information.

Candidates have the discretion to include any additional materials that they believe are relevant to the promotion or tenure decision in the Other Supplemental Materials subsection [G.13(p)].

Candidates are required to use the naming conventions for all files and folders included in the dossier that can be found in the Summary of Dossier Preparation document that can be found on the provost’s website.

Candidates with joint appointments should prepare a single dossier for review by the units in which they are jointly appointed (Section D.4).

All materials required by the primary academic unit should be included in Sections G.1 through G.13 of the dossier.

Any additional materials required by the secondary academic unit(s) should be included in Subsection G.13(o) of the dossier.
