Teleworking employees should review University Records Guidance While Working Remotely for information on records retention rules.

General information

The Department Records Manager Contact (DRMC) is responsible for creating the Records Inventory. DRMCs should download a copy of the Records Inventory Workbook, which contains tools and instructions for completing the inventory. Alternatively, the DRMC may also use the Records Inventory Simple Form Only.

  • View a list of DRMCs in the OHS Contacts System (EID required).
  • See additional information, including a sample Records Inventory plan, on Records and Information Management Services' (RIMS) Records Inventory page.

DRMCs are also responsible for ensuring that their unit follows university records management policy and procedures. View more information, including Quick Guides on the RIMS site.
