When requesting Personal Time Away, the request must be sent to dean.education@austin.utexas.edu, with copies to both the department Administrative Manager and Karen Pfeiffer, and must include:
- The dates you will be absent from work duties;
- Who will cover your responsibilities, including teaching, during the absence; and
- A contact phone number in case of emergency.
Once approved by the Dean or his delegate, Dean's Office staff will email the approval to the traveler and the Administrative Manager, and will add the dates to the staff calendar so the Dean knows who will be away from the office.
