Step-by-Step Instructions for Vendor Application

  1. Have these documents ready in PDF:
    1. Permit to Operate a Food Enterprise
      1. Austin Area: http://austintexas.gov/department/fixed-food-establishments
      2. Outside of Austin: https://dshs.texas.gov/foodestablishments/permitting.aspx
    2. Certificate of Liability Insurance
    3. TABC License, if applicable
    4. Guidelines for handling food.
  2. Know your UT EID.
  3. Go to the "Application" section.
  4. Click on the link to the DocuSign Application. 
    1. Complete the DocuSign form.
      1. Once you click "Continue", you will see this notification: 


        1. DocuSign will send an email to the email address you provided. You may exit out of that page.
        2. Go to your inbox. You will complete the application via the email sent from DocuSign.  
    1. Complete the application.
    2. Sign the Agreement.
    3. Attach the following required documents:
      1. Permit to Operate a Food Enterprise
      2. Certificate of Liability Insurance
      3. TABC license, if applicable
      4. Guidelines for handling food
    4. Download a copy for your records.
  1. Once you click "Finish", wait for our office to verify the documents. The Approval Process takes about three to five business days.
  2. You will receive a notification from our office.
    1. Please restart the application process and make the necessary corrections.
    2. Feel free to contact our office regarding any questions.  
    1. If approved:
      1. Please understand that this is not an endorsement of any kind by the University of Texas Austin.  
      2. You will have to reapply again in one year. 
    2. If denied:
      1. Contact our office.
