Click through the prompts | |
Open the Untitled Project | |
Click on the Media Tab at the bottom | |
Choose your volume or hard drive from the left most column and put the interface in List View to see the media in a list | |
Locate the folder with the media in this example footage shot with the Sony FX9 or FX6 will have a folder called XDROOT. Right click the folder and choose >Add Folder and SubFolders into the Media Pool | |
Choose to Yes Change Project Frame Rate >Click on Change | |
Media will load into the project as shown here. Do this for all the folders of footage / card data for the shooting days | |
Once all the footage has been added into the project click on the Edit Tab | |
Click on List View shown here so all the clips are easily accessible | |
Next step is to make proxies Set where the proxy media is to be stored Click on DaVinci Resolve >Preferences | |
Go to Media Storage >Proxy Generation Location >Set to Use Project Settings >Click Save | |
Then go to the lower right corner of the DaVinci Interface and choose Project Settings icon | |
Click on Master Settings then Scroll down to | |
Choose >Proxy media resolution Quarter >Proxy media format ProRes 422 Proxy | |
Select all the clips in the project that were just added and | |
Once all the clips are selected right click the selections and choose >Generate Proxy Media |
