Highlights | Does anybody have any highlights from the week they would like to share? |
| Dynamics: | Aeroshell: | Body: | Emech: |
---|
Dependency Tree & Timeline | Please link you dependency trees and timelines (as discussed during last leads meeting) below: |
| | | |
Blockers | What is blocking you from starting designing (CAD - even if just preliminary/prototyping)? Do you have any other blockers? |
| | Finalized driver model/roll cage bounding box → ergo jig manufacturing and collected data Frame reference sketch → rear hardpoint reference sketch (front is done alr) Brake calcs finishing→ caliper and rotor selection from Dynamics
| |
Workday Review | Timeline made Unsprung worked on our mockup cads, caliper/brake calculations, trailing arm design and collaboration with suspension Steering talked to Jacob about RMS error, code, and geometry optimization
| Aerodynamics: decided on 2 part top shell split up everyone into their actual tasks maybe a little bit too much high level yapping that they couldnt get involved in which wasnt great
Composites continued work on and finished array cooling layups Started work on daybreak cleaned pickle bc ppl are showing up according to nathan sanded a large metal sheet
| Frame: Mini solids/frame design lecture Frame concepts (front and rear) designs continued, close to having preliminary design Frame reference sketch created → will have 1st iteration this week Composites Research continued → first round of research due this workday
Ergo: Pedal box redesign continued (getting closer, pedal ratio redesign finished) Brake calcs continued (again, blocked currently) Seat outline created for more accurate driver model Ergo jig design done → manufacturing this week
| Battery review done, ready to start manufacturing Adjustable angle vibe table jig skeleton done Intake and exhaust started for battery box
|
Next Workday Plan | | Aerodynamics: Composites Continue surface prep on Daybreak Continue research and start working on testing w/the materials that were just ordered (assuming they arrive) Continue sanding metal sheet
| | Manufacturing plans, who’s doing what, hardware, stock, and part inventory
|

✅ Action items
⤴ Decisions
Notes:
Review standardized global coordinate system
Pay attention to align part with this coordinate system (SolidWorks default coordinate system)
It is fine for smaller parts to be defined not aligned with the referfence sketch origin
Subassemblies need to be defined relative to a reference sketch (i.e., control arm subassemblies, etc.)
Reference Sketch Discussion
A part, not an assembly
Key features that define geometric properties and location of systems
Everything derived from HDPT sketch
Review naming convention in Confluence
Have a dependency tree with a set of items that are agreed upon by both the subleads and systenm leads
