These instructions allow you to send a password-protected print job to the printer where it will be held until you visit the printer and release the job.

1. Within the application you are wanting to print from, navigate to the print menu/section/icon to access the print dialog box. Select the desired ETC/GLT Canon printer in the available printer list. Select Printer Properties. Example screenshots are from Microsoft Word.

Note: In Adobe Acrobat/Reader, click Properties next to the printer selection

2. Drop down the Output Method menu and select Secure Print.

3. The small dialog box below will open and ask if you want to set the user information now. Select Yes.

4. Enter in the desired User Name and PIN and click OK.

Note: This can be as simple as 1 and 1 or as complex as you want it to be within the rules. Credentials should save from a previous secure print job.

5. Choose your other desired print options in the Printer Properties windows if needed and press OK at the bottom of the Printer Properties window.

Note: The specific application will also offer print output options in it's main print menu that you can select as desired.

6. Click Print to send the job to the printer to be held.

7. Go to the ME Canon printer you sent the job to and select Home in the top right.

8. Select the Print

9. Under the "Jobs to Be Printed" tab, find your document by job/document name and user name you set. Press the entry to select it and it will turn yellow. Press Start Printing near the bottom.

10. You will get a pop-up to enter the PIN you set for this print job. Enter it and then press OK to release the print job. The print job will clear the queue and you can hit Home to get back to the main menu.
