Announcements

Last week before finals, good job on making it this far!

We need to get at least one version of our CAD’s done by workday. I want all the parts to a state where they are able to be simmed.

Goal for Leads

Kayla: hardpoints model is completely redone - rn im fixing the equations - but this doesnt mean all the points are set i just have the file ready for final adjustments

  • THE SPRING RAAATESSSSS - the solver wont converge and we cant find the reasonable value its been several weeks 😞

  • rear hardpoints somewhat set - MR set at ~ 1.6, geom and validation and shock selection for members to do

  • Suspension:
decide shocks - research and compile list of shocks and decision matrices
Fix the dummy assembly - cad practice and for better understanding of components and clearances
Cont variations of rear wheel packaging and geometry - emphasis on having multiple versions - important for us to rule out potential geom or change hdpts rear
Spring rates - go through and adjust / fix / research :/ only really smth you can do if you genuinely are interested in the math behind it and vehicle characteristics
Otherwise - need for loads, simming, manufacturing

Evan: I need to fix the steering geometry in the hard points sketch and finalize the upper steering, William and Joshua work on learning Ansys and Harshit will get them the load cases on the parts so they can practice the loads on the actual parts

Sami: Simming but on Ansys this time

Harshit: Understand loading enough/how we can set up our sims
