Placing lab orders

1. Smartsheet

   1. The department uses a online application called Smartsheet to manage lab orders.
      1. Smartsheet looks like a spreadsheet, but has additional features to help people collaborate.
      2. When you join a lab, you'll receive an invitation from Smartsheet to join our account.
         1. For non-student research staff, the invitation will be sent to your email ending in "austin.utexas.edu"
         2. For students, the invitation will be sent to your email ending in "utexas.edu"
         3. Click on the link in the notification to create a Smartsheet password
      3. Once in Smartsheet, go to "WorkApps" by clicking on the
         
         

2. Set up a DUO account and register your mobile device

   1. The university uses the multi-factor authentication service called DUO, to help make logins more secure.

3. Acknowledge the university's Acceptable Use Policy

   1. The university requires that all employees and affiliates acknowledge its Acceptable Use Policy governing information technology resources by signing the form below.
