In a non-departmentalized college or school in which the chair of the BC/EC makes a promotion recommendation and prepares a statement for the dossier in place of a department chair’s statement, the BC/EC chair must be free from any conflict of interest (Section D.5) and eligible to vote on the promotion (Section A.4).
