Candidates may include a short COVID Professional Impact Statement (limited to a two-page PDF file) in their dossier and in the materials distributed to the external reviewers. The statement must adhere to the guidance on the COVID-19 professional impact statement webpage.

The statement should briefly document the effects that the COVID-19 pandemic had on faculty workload and professional opportunities and summarize the resulting impact on the candidate’s professional productivity, performance, and trajectory. This statement must not contain any personal information.

As noted in Section F.2, the personal impacts of COVID-19 are addressed by the candidate by extending their probationary period or requesting a personal circumstances flag and must not be included in this statement.
