Effective January 1, 2013, UT signed an agreement with MathWorks to provide certain stakeholders, including ECE, with a Total Academic Headcount (TAH) license with additional toolboxes. Under this agreement faculty, staff, and students will have the option of a standalone use license. All faculty and academic staff, including students considered academic staff who are employed by ECE (TAs, RAs) will also be able to install Matlab and covered toolboxes on their personal machines.
Students: For instructions on downloading, installing and activating MATLAB on personally owned devices, start here. Once you have arrived at the University MATLAB page, click on the Students tab at the top of the page and you will be prompted to enter your EID and password for access to the instructions.
Faculty and Staff: This also includes TAs, RAs, or anyone else affiliated as an employee. For instructions on downloading, installing, or activing MATLAB, please email help@ece.utexas.edu. If this is a UT owned device, please provide the UT asset tag number, make/model of the device, and the name of your advising professor.
