Conservation Information covers actions taken to ensure the protection and proper care of a Collection Object. Actions such as whitening a specimen for photography, and the subsequent removal of the white smoke are Conservation Information. Also, chemical processes not associated with Specimen Prep belong here. Examples of this would be noting in the short description that a specimen was soaked in DI water to neutralize salt efflorescence, or that a recent coral was chemically bleached prior to being housed in the collection. Publications detailing the technique, hand written notes, and photographs can all be attached to the record using the Attachment button.
