Graduates employees must:
- Be in compliance with Enrollment Requirements
- Have an up-to-date I-9 and Background Check with UGS
- All student employees are required to have a social security number
- Register and pay for the current semester
Graduate students who have worked as Math Instructors cannot receive AIS/APS pay as well as be employed as a student employee. They may be paid only as one type of employee, student or contractor (APS).
Graduate students with a 20-hour TAship may have additional employment up to 30 hours/week IF they receive written email confirmation from their Graduate Advisor. The confirmation must be received before UGS HR is able to appoint the student. Appointment over 30 hours/week are not permitted.

Dear "Supervisor",
Thanks for asking. You have my approval to appoint "Student" (EID: "eid123") to 8 additional hours above her current 20 hour per week appointment. Feel free to contact me if you need additional information.
