iSchool Faculty and Staff Computers should have the following 3 printers appear automatically. If you don't see them, reach out to the IT team for support: help@iSchool.utexas.edu

Personal Devices
If you have not been issued a departmental computer, there is a Quickprint computer setup in UTA 5.462. You may login with your UT EID and password to print at any time.
Printing Sensitive Information
What if I have to print sensitive information that shouldn't sit on the copier? You'll use something called Secure Print. You must have already set up normal printing using the instructions above.
MacOS
- Open the file you need to print securely and click File, Print.
- In some applications, such as Preview, you may have to click "Show Details" to choose Secure Print. Applications like Word do not require this extra step.
- Select "Output Method" in the Print Dialog drop down.
- Change the Output Method from Print to Secure Print.
- Enter your first name as the Document ID. Enter a temporary password that you will remember at the copier in the Password field.
- Click OK.
- Click Print.
- On the Printer, select Secure Print.
- Enter your first name and the temporary password you entered earlier.
- Select the document you wish to print, then tap "Print".
- Press the Start button, and your selected document should begin printing.
Windows
- Open the document you need to print securely. Go to the File > Print page, and click "Printer Properties".
- Under Output Method, change the drop down menu selection from Print to Secure Print.
- Enter your first name as the Document ID. Enter a temporary password that you will remember at the copier in the Password field.
- Click OK to close the Printer Properties Window.
- Click Print.
- On the Printer, select Secure Print.
- Enter your first name and the temporary password you entered earlier.
- Select the document you wish to print, then tap "Print".
- Press the Start button, and your selected document should begin printing.
How to print 1-sided
MacOS
- Open the file you need to print 1-sided and click File, Print.
- In some applications, such as Preview, you may have to click "Show Details" to change this setting. Applications like Word do not require this step.
- Select "Layout / Finish" in the Print Dialog drop down.
- Change the Print Type from 2-Sided to 1-sided.
- Click Print.
- To save 1-sided printing as your default, complete the following steps:
- repeat steps 1-4
- click the "Presets" drop-down
- click "Save as Preset"
- Title your preset and save
- After saving these settings as a preset, make sure your new preset is selected and while holding down the "Option" key on your keyboard, click "Print"
Windows
- Open the document you need to print 1-sided. Go to the File > Print page, and click "Printer Properties".
- Go to the "My Tab" tab, if you aren't already there.
- Change Print Type from 2-Sided to 1-Sided.
- Click OK to close the Printer Properties Window.
- Click Print.
