I started my design process by using SOLIDWORKS to find the lengths of each link. My original sliding link was too short to allow the input link to rotate 360 degrees, so I increased the length of the sliding to 14 inches. This increased the mechanical advantage as well, which proved to be beneficial since a high mechanical advantage was ideal for this mechanism.

Further, I decided to use the laser cutter to cut simple links from plywood and the 3D printers to make the "smasher" and print angled mounts.
