For our project we decided to utilize laser cutting as the primary method for manufacturing our device and using press-fit methods for connecting linkages. In addition we utilized 3D printing methods to fabricate our lever arm that was in contact with the cam in order to reduce weight and have more flexibility when bending.

Assembling Base and Holder:

Laser cut schematic for base and holder. Laser cut pieces were super glued together.

Laser Cut and CAD schematic of cam shaft.

Pieces were super glued together to create both servo-turnable and hand-turnable cam shaft.

3D printing model for the levers and servo holder.

Laser Cut fingers and press fitted ball bearings were used for each of the linkage joints.
