This demonstration is to show that our final prototype meets the required constraints that we were presented with. Our demonstration of a working prototype will exemplify the autonomous gas/charging station.

Figure 6.2 shows the lift mechanism. The most difficult part is not just cutting the perfect holes for screws, but also carefully consider the spacing between joints and layers to avoid interference.

To fix the problem that the shafts may pop out, we used glue gun to glue the shaft with the bearings.

We use multiple acrylic rings as sleeve for spacing and prevent the links from sliding along the shafts.

Video Demonstration 

As it can be noticed we programmed the motor with an Arduino Uno to get the required torque, and rotation that we desired. Also on the bread-board we had two buttons, one was to move it forward and the other was to retract it back to the starting position.                            

The video below shows how the mechanism works with the x-axis movement and y-axis movement are decoupled.
