Quest uses the University of Texas EID system. To begin using Quest you need to obtain a UT EID from www.utexas.edu/eidYou will find online tools for your UT EID here (https://idmanager.its.utexas.edu/eid_self_help/).

If you already have a UT EID please do not create a second, instead go here (https://idmanager.its.utexas.edu/eid_self_help/) and select "Find My EID".

The Quest team doesn't manage the EID system, for any login issues you will need to contact the ITS help desk (https://www.utexas.edu/its/helpdesk/forms/emailform.php) directly.

From the EID Self-Service page, select "Get a UT EID"

Continue through the next page, to the page where you will answer a few questions about your relationship with UT. Typically the answer for these questions will be "No" for our non-UT users.

The next page will ask you for personal information for your profile. Please fill out your full name and email at the very minimum. It is very important for us to have your email on record so as to communicate via email, this happens very rarely, but is necessary all the same.

If you have ever used a UT EID before, or have a particularly common name, you might come across a page warning you that you may have an EID already. Review the options provided and decide if you need to create a new one. After providing responses to some security questions for account recovery and setting a password for your account, please be sure to carefully review the information you’ve provided before continuing.
