Process is as follows:
- Click on link to high school in the OST ticket. Get name, city, and state from HS website.
- Log onto https://quest.cns.utexas.edu/systemadmin/main (work must be done on prod not lbtest)
- Go to Quest Admin > SysAdmin > Places & Institutions.
- Search for the school in drop down menus. Once you find it, click Edit.
- Get Instition ID from this screen.
- If there is no school then create it and get the Instition ID
- Go to Quest Admin > SysAdmin > Places & Institutions.
- Log onto https://quest.cns.utexas.edu/institutionadmin/main/index.
- Open a new Quest InstAdmin > External High Schools > Manage Credentials > Add Credential
- Copy UT EID from the OST ticket
- Add UT EID, institution ID, and role "Instructor" from drop down menu. Click blue "Add" button.
- Repeat the above process, but using the role "contributing editor" from the drop down menu.
- Once they have both instructor & contribution editor authorizations, you are done.
- Go back to OS Ticket.
- Select "Instructor Signup - Approval (HS Instructor) in the canned reponses.
- Update the instructors name, institution ID, and subscription expiration date in the OS Ticket reponse (these can be found in the Quest Admin screen for the instution - the first page you looked at when looking up the high school.)
- After updating this data, click "Resolve" to close the ticket.
