Numeric free response questions that have multiple variations (ie different numbers for different students) have a default setting of 1% tolerance for a window of responses accepted as correct. If you would like this to be adjusted you currently have two options; the first is highly preferred on our behalf.

1) send us an email (questhelp@austin.utexas.edu) with the assignment URL that has numeric free response questions you want relaxed. Include the specific problem names and ID# that are numeric free response, and include the window you'd like it relaxed to (ie +/-5% correct answer), and when all students will be done taking the exam. We will run a script to grant points for students who entered in numbers of your window of grace.

2) Manually change the tolerance for each free response question through editor (https://quest.cns.utexas.edu/editor/). (This is less desirable because it will affect everyone who uses this question, not just you, and there could be competing wants of tolerance.) To do this, pull up the affected question(s) one by one, push edit, adjust tolerance to what you like, push generate parameters, and push publish (visuals below). Note you will now have an updated ID version of this question that will need to be incorporated into your assignment.
