Notice that there is a timed assignment box for learning modules. When this is checked and there is a time limit put in we consider this to be a timed assignment. When the test mode box is also checked, the conditions are right to be able to add time to an individual student's test.

This 'time limit' is what ADA/SSD students time is multiplied by. (Please note that there are a few time dials, and sometimes they step on each other–a late submit may still be needed.) Time remaining is reflected on the exam dashboard of a test and can be adjusted should their be technical difficulties or reason to add additional time to an individual or class full of students. The exam dashboard offers a one stop centralized place to monitor students as they are taking their exam--add time using the indicated 'add time/add' for an individual student, or 'add time to ALL students/update' drop downs.

Notice that students time will still be stopped by the due date, so if granting extra 'time limit' time to students you may also need to adjust the due date or grant a late submit in that column.

If an exam has already closed or a student has timed out, they may need to have their timer fully reset. To do this, navigate to Answer Key for this assignment (on the left side bar), click on the student, and click 'reset timer'. This will fully reset the time for the student, but a late submit will still be needed if the due date is in the past.
