Office of Student Financial Services
The Office of Student Financial Services (OSFS) offers various forms of financial assistance to students attending The University of Texas at Austin. The OSFS offers two types of financial aid awards: (1) gift aid, which includes grants and scholarships, and (2) self-help aid, which includes the College Work-Study Program and long-term loans.
To apply for financial aid, students must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available from the Office of Student Financial Services. Applications must be submitted each year the student seeks financial aid.
IMPORTANT: If you want to apply for financial aid for summer 2023, you must complete the FAFSA for 2023-24 and then complete a second FAFSA for 2024-25 which is for fall 2023 and spring/summer 2024.
