BEFORE THE SCAN
Using the disposable wipes provided,* clean the surfaces of anything the subject may touch (e.g. button boxes, squeeze ball, head coil).
Wash hands with soap and water or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer** immediately before coming into contact with a research subject.
After coming into contact with the subject, avoid touching your eyes and mouth until you have thoroughly washed your hands with soap and water or used an alcohol-based hand sanitizer**.
AFTER THE SCAN
Using the disposable wipes provided,* clean the surfaces of anything the subject may have touched (e.g. button boxes, squeeze ball, head coil).
Using the disposable wipes provided or the 70% IPA solution, clean the keyboard of the scanner host computer, computer desktop surface, and any other countertop surfaces you and your colleagues might have touched.
Inform your research subject that the hand sanitizer dispenser at the facility exit is available for them to use.
Upon leaving the facility, wash your hands with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer**.
*Do not use any other wipes to clean the surfaces of the hardware. The disinfection agents used in the wipes we provide are designed to not degrade the plastic and rubber surfaces.
**The hand sanitizer dispensers in the BIC provide alcohol-based sanitizer.
