2011-01-20 17:21 - The problem with files.ccbb.utexas.edu has been tracked down to problems with the device drivers for the tape drive. They have been recreated, and file services are available again.

2012-01-20 1:00 - files.ccbb.utexas.edu is down to replace the tape drive. This has hit some unexpected problems, and the service remains off.

2011-07-27 12:30 - The Mac, and PC file sharing issue has been tracked to a big change in versions of the SAMBA software as provided by Oracle. The old version has been restored, and more testing will be done on the new version before redeploying.

2011-07-27 09:30 - After rebooting, Mac and PC users are not able to connect to the file server. This is being investigated.

2011-04-15 20:30 - The problem with the tape drive is resolved. No reboot of files was needed, and no more planned for this issue.

2011-04-15 13:45 - files.ccbb.utexas.edu is having problems with its tape drive, and will be rebooted at 6:00 pm. This doesn't affect user data.

2011-03-17 13:00 - Genomes is back online with only 1 disk. A replacement disk is being shipped, and will be replaced tomorrow when it arrives.

2011-03-17 11:00 - Genomes has a bad disk, and is offline. This also affects mswat, and dogma.

2011-03-03 16:30 - All systems are returned to service with the exception that a few cluster nodes in ceres, and chencluster will need to be fixed. Please report any other problems.

2011-03-03 11:00 - A 2nd water pipe has broken, and a 3rd is being watched. We have shutdown systems not in use just in case the 3rd pipe breaks also.   Currently this includes ceres, and chencluster.

2011-03-02 10:45 - kremlin, and class.ccbb.utexas.edu are back in service. Please report problems. All systems shut down during the cooling emergency are back in service now. Please report problems.

2011-03-02 21:00 - Ceres Cluster, and Chen Cluster are returned to service. Please report problems.

2011-03-02 15:20 - Patterson Hall has lost its chilled water feed. As a result, many of the clusters, and standalone systems have been shut down. It's not known yet when we'll be alive again.
