    Palisade Decision Tools (@Risk) — Decision Tools is a set of Microsoft Excel add-ins for risk and decision analysis. It includes @Risk, StatTools, PrecisionTree, TopRank and other Excel add-ins. 

    The McCombs School of Business has licensed the software from Palisade for students to use, free of charge. You will need to first have Microsoft Office (which you can install through UT Austin for free) if you are installing DecisionTools. To do that, go to office365.austin.utexas.edu and select "Office 365 Portal". Once signed in, click "Install and more" and "Install Microsoft 365 Apps". 

    Once the app is installed, you will see the tools (for example, RISK) appear as desktop shortcuts. Please run the apps you need from these shortcuts. They will open Excel themselves with the add-ins loaded in. (You will not be able to open them directly from Excel).

    You can download DecisionTools to any Windows computer. If you have a Mac, you can install a Windows virtual machine (Instructions: VMWare Installation Instructions for Macs).

    1. First, visit https://utexas.box.com/v/dtsinstaller (you will be prompted to login with your EID). Download the file.
    2. You may get a warning that the file cannot be downloaded. Your browser should have an option to keep the file. 
      On Edge, click the three dots and "Keep". Click "Show more", and "Keep Anyway".
       

    3. Once you've downloaded the installer, you can run the installer. You may again get a warning. Click "More info" and then "Run anyway".

    UT Print — UTPrint is a printing service operated by the University for all faculty, staff and students. To use the service, you install free printer software that sends your prints jobs into a queue whenever you print from your computer. To receive your printed copy, simply walk up to any UTPrint kiosk on campus, swipe your ID card and select the job in your queue that you want to print. Your queued job will then print out at that printer. You incur no charges until you actually print your queued job. Print charges are debited from your BevoBucks account.     Wireless Encryption Installers for 802.1x — This software allows you to access the "restricted.utexas.edu", wireless network which forces network encryption, instead of the open "guest.utexas.edu" network, which does not require encryption. Encrypting wireless traffic is not required for any particular course, but it is a recommended by the Information Security Office. University Employee's are required to use wireless encryption.
