Overview

The system allows UPO to post Private Scholarships for application by business students to the web. The private scholarship funds become available as donors make contributions for such purposes. These are not normally recurring contributions, coming at random times within a given semester, and are provided by private individuals or smaller corporations.

The system allows an authorized UPO administrator to enter the details of the award, the requirements for eligibility and optionally, an essay question from which student responses can be judged. This information is stored along with the application period for the scholarship. When the application period for a private scholarship begins, the scholarship will appear on the student application site, and students may apply online. The system administrator may then generate reports from the student applicant data, and use this as a basis for the selection of private scholarship recipients.
