Introduction and Background Group 14


The team's goal is to make an autonomous water juggling mechanism that will transfer water from one cup to another in an oscillatory motion. The two cups used will be translated as well as rotated via a pair of four-far mechanisms. Each cup will have a dedicated four-bar mechanism. The system will have a closed-loop control on the cup angles such that the motor will slow during the pouring and catching phases to make the water transfer easier with less spillage. This system is not intended to serve a specific purpose other than to be observed as a piece of art.
