Historical
In the past (pre-2015) the "Longhorn Lights Out" team paid for both web-hosting and domain name registration. I believe there was a benefactor involved or raised funds to keep the site up. In 2015, Greg Jewett joined the team and suggested that the team take advantage of the "campus common good" web hosting service UTWEB. Greg coordinated with the team to ensure a smooth transfer. Greg offered to pay for the domain registration for two year to help keep the site alive. Since, the site is maintained on UTWEB by student webmasters and LLO admins pay for and maintain the domain name registration.
