Lesson 2/3

CI Lesson 2/3 Planning Meeting

• Because the field experience for CI is done outside of class, planning with students for lessons 2/3 will be done via Zoom. Teaching teams sign up for a time via email and then we send them out the Zoom link.

CI Lesson 2/3

• Like with Step 1 I will create a calendar for lesson 2 and 3. This will be the same as the calendar the students would have taught. However, because some of the math and science students overlap we may have to extend the lessons by an additional week.
• Students will sign up for the time they will teach lesson 2 and 3. This should be the same as the original schedule unless they need to change their time for some reason.
• Students will also sign up to observe another groups lesson. For example, Dionicio and Jesus will sign up to teach Monday and Wednesday during 8th period to teach. They will also sign up Tuesday and Thursday during 1st period to be students. 
• The CI students will teach their lesson (2 or 3) to their partner as well as 2-3 other students in the class. This will be done via Zoom. Each student will also be responsible for acting as a student for another groups lesson 2 and 3. Therefore each student will teach once and be a student a minimum of 3 times (once for their partner and once for another group). We can also offer some sort of incentive if they want to be a student for an additional group so that way they have more people to teach.
• Again, the Master Teacher will also watch the lessons via Zoom. After the lesson we will provide, via Zoom, feedback to the teaching team. The lessons will be recorded so the students can also watch them later and complete the video reflection.
