The Ransom Center strives to be the leading research library and museum for the study and greater understanding of the literature and culture shaping our time.

MISSION

The Ransom Center encourages discovery, inspires creativity, and advances understanding of the humanities for a broad and diverse audience though the preservation and sharing of its extraordinary collection.

HRC Collections and Online Access

The HRC has curators for its main collections: Manuscripts, Photography, Performing Arts, Film, and Art. The curators have a lot of influence in how materials are cataloged, processed, and how access is provided to patrons.

Often the Art and Photography finding aids are not in TARO because they are often item-level and use a table format, which TARO can't support. I am not sure why so many of the Manuscripts finding aids aren't in TARO.)
